ZHUA- Is a superior choice for applications where Zero Halogen, Low Smoke and Low Flame Spread are required for safety reasons called out in the NEC. This product is used for public transportation or for any where you want to prevent the spread of fire on your electric system.
SPECIFICATION- Conduit shall be Anaconda Sealtiteฎ Type Z.H.U.A. conduit shall provide flexible wiring liquid-tight raceway for wiring and shall be constructed of continuously interlocked heavy zinc coated strip with an integral ground wire in sizes 3/8 to 1-1/4. Conduit shall be coated with halogen free, flame retardant and low smoke polyurethane material providing maximum protection from toxic gases, smoke density, carbon monoxide levels and HCL levels. Jacket shall be self extinguishing and be used where temperatures do not exceed: -40˚C to 80˚C dry, 60˚C wet and 70˚C oil (-40˚F to 176˚F dry, 140˚F wet and 158˚F oil). U.L. File # E18917.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS- For use in areas where PVC is not allowed or not the preferred choice for electrical or electronic connections. ZHUA virtually eliminates the release of the acidic toxic gases found in PVC products. It is ideal for uses in areas such as: public areas, subway tunnels, mass transit vehicles, areas that have restricted or self contained ventilation, hospitals, schools, airports, office buildings, wiring harnesses in and under passenger rail cars, computer rooms, business equipment, instrumentation, voice, data and signal transmission, broadcast studios, ship building, and industrial plants.
